Our new vision for 2010
_________________________________________________________________________

Congratulations to Pastor Larry Camel for being chosen to represent Saginaw, MI at the upcoming 2010 “Recovery: One Voice, One Community, One Purpose” Community Leaders and Interfaith Partnership Summit.

The summit is sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in partnership with the DHHS Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, the Administration of Children and Families (ACF) and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s HIV/AIDS Bureau (HRSA/HAB).

Summit teams, comprised of  secular and faith-based community organization representatives, treatment providers, government officials, and other stakeholders, will come together to address the community- and faith-based response to the diverse needs of children and families who are affected by substance use disorders, mental illness, and other co-occurring issues such as HIV/AIDS.  During the summit, each team will outline ways of expanding service capacities through effective community and faith-based collaborations and to create a plan for strengthening and maintaining the newly formed collaborations.

Community Health Improvement Director
